Our weekends are absolutely full of great spring activities happening right here in Yuba City, CA. You’re going to love driving your 2023 Ford F-150 XLT with its easy navigation system to check these events out. Here’s where you’ll be heading.

1. UC CalFresh Garden & Nutrition Series

This garden and nutrition series is a month-long spring class for kids. Children will be exploring the garden to learn more about growing plants and how nutrition works. The class begins on Wednesday, May 4th and runs every week until May 24th. It happens between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm and parents are welcome to drop their kids off during the class.

The class is located at the Artisan Community Garden at 1333 Butte House Road. The class is free for children between the ages of five and 13.

2. Motherhood Out Loud Performance

The Convergence Theatre Company has put together a production of Mother Out Loud. This performance takes a comedic look at motherhood from different perspectives.

The play costs $20 to attend and is taking place at the Sutter Theater Center at 754 Plumas St. Performances on May 5, 6, 12, and 13 are happening at 7:00 pm. Performances on May 7, 13, and 14 are happening at 2:00 pm.

3. Dino Dig Drop Off

This is a superfan drop-off spring event for kids from ages five years old to 12. The cost is $35 per child with a discount for siblings and includes a pizza dinner. The kids will need to be dressed to get messy as they participate in their dino dig.

This event is happening at Playzeum at 1980 S Walton Ave. It’s happening on Friday evening April 28 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

4. Small Business Vendor Fair

Celebrate small local businesses during Small Business Week starting on Saturday, April 29. The vendor fair will be taking place in the Chamber of Commerce parking lot at 1300 Franklin Rd from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Many of the participating businesses will be new to all of us since they are often home-based and some are without physical locations. This vendor fair will help make them more visible in the Yuba City community. Expect to see 30 vendors participating and showcasing arts, crafts, and community service organizations. There will also be food trucks in attendance.

The kids and the adults have a lot of fun activities taking up their weekends this spring. Getting out in the great weather puts a lot of us in the mood to get a new car. It’s always nice driving with the windows down in a new vehicle in the spring. Visit Geweke Ford now to see our selection of new cars
